Our Mission: To provide a safe and permanent family for every dependent Pennsylvania child as quickly and practically as possible.
The Lehigh County Children’s Roundtable is the local tier of the Pennsylvania Children’s Roundtable Initiative, which was created by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and is comprised of representatives from virtually every sector of the Commonwealth community who are committed to the welfare of dependent children.
The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania created the Office of Children; Families In The Court as part of the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts to administer the Pennsylvania Children’s Roundtable Initiative in conjunction with the State Children’s Roundtable, which is comprised of representatives of government and other stakeholders from across the Commonwealth.
A key feature of the Children’s Roundtable Initiative is to improve communication and cooperation among all stakeholders in pursuing its goals.
The Office of Children & Families In The Courts and the State Children’s Roundtable is currently drafting a mission statement and guiding principles which will focus the efforts of this initiative.
